In generally speaking, serums contain several main active ingredients in order to address a very specific issue. The issues are commonly about wrinkles, dark spots, brightening and many more. The active ingredients are commonly more focused than what you will find in a moisturizing cream. The consistency is a bit thicker and the packaging is smaller than a cleanse or a toner.

Typically, the bottle of serum is equipped with droppers so you can dispense it. But some brands are thicker than other and even like a lotion packed in a small bottle with a pump.
